Jan Mohlman, Ph.D. graduated from UCLA and earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Oregon. Dr. Mohlman completed her internship at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute, then went on to complete postdoctoral work in the Biological Studies Unit at New York State Psychiatric Institute / Columbia University Department of Psychiatry. Before joining CBT DBT Associates, Dr. Mohlman held academic positions at Syracuse University and Rutgers, where she co-directed clinics specializing in cognitive behavioral treatment of adult anxiety disorders. Dr. Mohlman has authored many professional articles and book chapters on anxiety and cognitive functioning, and has won a number of grants and awards for research and teaching.

Dr. Mohlman has extensive clinical experience in treating panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and social anxiety disorder using cognitive behavioral and mindfulness approaches. In addition to her expertise in treating anxiety, Dr. Mohlman’s clinical work focuses on problems related to aging including depression, mild cognitive decline, and nonmotoric symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Another area of special interest is treating test anxiety and perfectionism in young adults in individual, group, and family formats.

Services offered by Dr. Mohlman include neuropsychological testing and cognitive behavior therapy for anxiety and depression in adults of all ages, and brain fitness training for middle aged and older adults.
